We’re going to share some of our knowledge about the world of cannabis, and tell you more about some of the products that we offer.
Depending on what product you choose, the device you use, and the type of cannabis you’re seeking, you may prefer some cannabis products over others. First, let’s dive into some of the cannabinoids that will influence your experience.
In any strain of cannabis, there are dozens of different cannabinoids, including the two most well-known: THC and CBD. Researchers have identified over 100 different cannabinoids. With various strains, you’ll notice different scents and flavours due to the unique blend of terpenes.
If you look at the label on any cannabis product, you’ll probably find a listing of how much THC it contains. THC has psychoactive effects, so we recommend that you consume all THC-containing products responsibly.
CBD has the potential for many different uses. As more research emerges about this unique cannabinoid, we look forward to learning more about them.
Different strains of cannabis are often distinguished by words like sativa or indica. But what do those terms mean? The cannabis sativa plant is tall with thin leaves. Sativa strains tend to have a higher concentration of terpenes like pinene and limonene. With indica buds, the most common terpenes are myrcene and beta-caryophyllene. Hybrids are crossbreeds of multiple strains. For more information about strains click here.
Whether you’re new to cannabis, or you’ve been dabbling in it for years, we issue the same advice: start low, and go slow.
But what does a low dose of cannabis look like? The answer varies based on the amount of THC and CBD content in the product. For example, even a low dose of a concentrate will have powerful effects due to its potent THC content.
Many first time users begin with 5mg of THC or 10mg of CBD. Keep in mind that you can always consume more, but never less. If you consume cannabis regularly, you may begin to develop a tolerance.
Another thing to keep in mind is the ROA (route of administration). When you inhale smoked or vaporized cannabis, the effects will typically be fast-acting, but of a shorter duration. Edibles take an hour or more for effects to manifest, but they last longer, too.
